With the introduction of the new assessment policy by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) the pattern of assessment will be as follows:
The Academic Session breakup is maintained as below:
For Class - (I – V)
TERM-1 (100 marks) 1st half of the session
20 marks (Internal Assessment in the form of 1 periodic Tests / Notebooks / Subject Enrichment Activity) Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Half Yearly Exam = 100 MARKS
TERM-2 (100 marks) 2nd half of the session
20 marks (Internal Assessment in the form of 1 periodic Tests / Notebooks / Subject Enrichment Activity) Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Yearly Exam = 100 MARKS
For Class - (VI – VIII)
TERM-1 (100 marks) 1st half of the session
20 marks (Internal Assessment in the form of 1 periodic Tests / Notebooks / Subject Enrichment Activity) Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Half Yearly Exam = 100 MARKS
TERM-2 (100 marks) 2nd half of the session
20 marks (Internal Assessment in the form of 1 periodic Tests / Notebooks / Subject Enrichment Activity) Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Yearly Exam = 100 MARKS
Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus coverage as below:
Class VI: 10% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
Class VII: 20% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
Class VIII: 30% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
For Class - IX
20 MARKS (Internal Assessment in the form of 3 periodic Tests / Notebooks / Subject Enrichment Activity) + 80 MARKS (ANNUAL EXAMINATION IN FEBRUARY) = 100 MARKS
NOTE: For the Annual Examination, Class – IX will be assessed on 100% of the syllabus covered throughout the year.
For Class - X
20 MARKS (Internal Assessment in the form of 3 periodic Tests / Notebooks / Subject Enrichment Activity) + 80 MARKS (BOARD EXAMINATION IN FEBRUARY) = 100 MARKS
NOTE: For the Board Examination, Class X will be assessed on 100% of the syllabus covered throughout the year.
For Class – XI
TERM – 1 (1st Half of the Session) 50 MARKS ES- I and 100 MARKS Half Yearly Examination
TERM – 2 (2nd Half of the Session) 50 MARKS ES- II and 100 MARKS Annual Examination (February)
For Class – XI
TERM – 1 (1st Half of the Session) 50 MARKS ES- I and 100 MARKS Half Yearly Examination
TERM – 2 (2nd Half of the Session) 50 MARKS ES- II and 100 MARKS Board Examination (February)
