GLOBAL HAND WASHING DAY CELEBRATION
Global Hand Washing Day is a way to support a global and local culture of hand
washing with soap. Olivia Enlightened English School celebrated global hand washing
day on 16 th October, 2017 with a great enthusiasm to raise awareness about the benefits
of hand washing of soap. With help of this celebration all the students as well as
teachers of the school are encouraged to keep healthy life. The Eco Club In-charge ( Mr.
Krishna Chhetri) delivered a speech on the importance of the Global Hand Washing
Day during assembly. He told that hand washing with soap is not only simple and
inexpensive but also can dramatically cut the number of young children who get sick.
Washing hands with soap reduces illness and the spread of germs much more
effectively than with water alone.
